Crew Leader

Leads workers and participates in grounds maintenance work.

Position Description:

  • Coordinates and leads workers in routine landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks.
  • Prioritizes and monitors work assignments.
  • Performs mowing, trimming and edging turf areas using riding mower, push mower, weed whip and edger.
  • Mulches, weeds, removes thatch, aerates, and trims and edges around flower beds, walks, pathways and walls.

Seasonal Color Foreman

Locally owned and operated, NatureScapes is one of Atlanta’s top ten commercial landscape companies specializing in maintenance, irrigation and floriculture services for multi-family and commercial properties. Since 1983, NatureScapes has provided these services to properties in 19 counties in metro Atlanta and North Georgia. The Seasonal Color Foreman is responsible for understanding the color designs, bed prep, coordinating, and overseeing the installation of flowers for our commercial maintenance and residential clients.

Position Description:

  • Work closely with Designer to understand schedule, material and coordinate installation of seasonal annual rotations in planting beds and containers.
  • Train field personnel on proper service techniques such as pruning, weeding, flower bed preparation and planting.
  • Complete log of used material daily and provide all material receipts to appropriate Account Manager. On a weekly basis as established by Company practices.
  • Re-visit job sites each season to evaluate growing and watering conditions and communicate same to Account Manager. Perform any necessary minor dead-heading/cutting back while on-site. Photograph each container/planting bed and catalog appropriately on network. Be prepared to spruce up any weak or damaged areas as approved by Account Manager.
  • When appropriate, accompany Account Manager to existing or potential client meetings to present and discuss recommendations of flower selection and enhancement projects that have a heavy emphasis on color. Make recommendations for improvements in areas that may not have performed to expectations.
  • Stay on leading edge of latest flowering materials, trends, and ideas.

Irrigation Specialist

Locally owned and operated, NatureScapes is one of Atlanta’s top ten commercial landscape companies specializing in maintenance, irrigation and floriculture services for multi-family and commercial properties. Since 1983, NatureScapes has provided these services to properties in 19 counties in metro Atlanta and North Georgia. The Irrigation Specialist position requires extensive knowledge of various types of underground sprinkler systems. This position is expected to primarily install irrigation systems at residential properties, commercial site/office parks, public lawn and garden spaces and at institutional sites. This position may also assist with the repairs or modifications of existing irrigation systems, start-ups and winterization, management of existing irrigation systems, as well as assisting with miscellaneous service related inquiries.

Position Description:

  • Installs new conventional drip and sprinkler systems, including the installation and wiring of the controller/clock, creating and installing valve assemblies/manifolds, wiring of the solenoids, etc.
  • Basic 2-Wire System knowledge is preferred, but will train the right applicant.
  • Removes old systems (as needed) and recovers reusable equipment.
  • Understands installation and operation of rain sensors and soil moisture sensors.
  • Programs all aspects of controller including multiple schedules; troubleshoots controller and wiring issues, solenoid valves, and heads of all types.
  • Ability to track buried electrical components and solenoids and find and repairs faults and breaks.
  • As needed, “mark-up” irrigation plan for new installations to reflect as-built locations of sleeves, main line, low-voltage wire, valve locations, etc.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow irrigation drawings for new installations.
  • Assess existing systems to help develop a master plan or as-built conditions.
  • Instruct others in minor irrigation repairs.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely and effectively operate irrigation trenchers/pullers to install pipes.
  • May assist in coordination with other company departments/functions or outside contractors.
  • Performs other general grounds-keeping and maintenance duties as needed and requested by Construction or Maintenance Managers/Supervisors.

Landscape Foreman

We’re currently seeking a Landscape Foreman for our Lilburn, Marietta, Griffin and Greensboro branches. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all on-site aspects of landscape construction projects.

Position Description:

  • Manage the execution of construction projects, planning labor requirements, equipment requirements and material deliveries and timing to ensure completion of job(s) within project deadlines
  • Manage safety, quality and productivity of work at sites and/or shop/yard
  • Assist in the preparation of jobsites prior to the beginning of a project
  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the day to day work activities of a landscape construction crew of 4-5 employees
  • Delegate job tasks to appropriate crew members to assist in the completion of landscape constructions
  • Participate in recruitment activities by conducting secondary interviews with potential job candidates
  • Conduct on-site orientations with new employees and employees in new positions, which cover all company health and safety policies, practices, and procedures
  • Operate various tools and equipment, including: heavy equipment, chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
  • Assist in the construction of walkways, fences, decks, posts, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis

Hardscape Specialist

The Hardscape Specialist is responsible for completing a variety of job tasks involving the use of brick and stone, to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects. Job responsibilities will also require performing general labor duties when requested as well as other Landscape install department tasks.

Position Description:

  • Assist in the preparation of jobsites prior to the beginning of a project
    • Operate various tools and equipment used to complete masonry job duties, including:
    • Lay brick, concrete blocks, stone, and other similar hardscape materials to construct or repair arches, walkways, and other structures
    • Perform stone masonry, prefabricated brickwork and masonry, foundation walls, arch work and decorative masonry
    • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry materials
    • Build patios, garden/retaining walls, and other decorative installations
    • Face, size, cut, and lay stones
    • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
    • Assist in building and dismantling forms used for pouring concrete
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects

Production Specialist

As we continue to grow, we are currently seeking a Production Specialist reporting from our Lilburn Branch.

As a production specialist, you will be responsible for the production support of 4-6 maintenance crews. You will also assist in the development and training of current and new personnel. Production Specialists are expected to understand and communicate the goals, values and objectives to the crews with the support of Account Manager.

Position Description:

  • Communicating specific tasks to be completed on properties per Account Manager/Clients
  • Implement and communicate daily any schedule changes to the crews as necessary
  • Meet and/or help manage any subcontractors performing work on NatureScapes’ clients’ properties
  • Be able to order and coordinate receipt/delivery of any materials necessary
  • Assist or be able to learn to assist account manager in monitoring and adjusting irrigation controllers and make minor repairs to components
  • Monitor all aspects of the landscape and identify insect or disease problems.
  • As necessary, perform hands-on work with crews to meet work and scheduling demands
  • Hands-on training and support of crew employees, including proper operation of equipment, pruning techniques, safety, and quality standards
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures related to the proper upkeep and maintenance, storage, use, and training required for branch equipment.
  • Inspect properties prior to scheduled services and prepare specific action plans for service, adjusting service schedules as needed.

Branch Manager

Locally-owned and operated, NatureScapes provides landscaping services to commercial and multi-family properties in 19 metro Atlanta counties. We are seeking a Branch Manager to operate our Lilburn location.

Position Description:

  • Balance Sheet and Profit Loss Responsibilities for the branch including budgets, profits, expense control and margins.
  • Oversee and maximize the efficiency of the Account Management staff
  • Manage administrative team
  • Oversee and mange customer communications with management and field staff, problem solving, work orders and client engagement.
  • Oversee and manage fleet and equipment needs, as well as efficiency with mechanic and facility manager.
